You are bidding on a 2004 Ford Excursion XLT in fair condition (see photos).
It has newer tires in excellent condition (less than one year old).  The vehicle starts and drives with no known issues.  The body does have some rust and cosmetic damage.  The most recent inspection report is attached (please note that the tires have been replaced since the inspection was completed in August 2025).
 
The vehicle is available for inspection or a test drive by calling 907-874-2347.
 
By bidding on this auction, the winning bidder agrees to remove all school decals from the vehicle within 30 days.  
 
This vehicle is being sold on an “as is, where is” basis with no guarantees or warranties.

Local pickup: Please contact the Wrangell Public Schools District Office at 907-874-2347 to arrange pickup.

Shipping:  We are happy to assist in shipping your items.  We will package and/or deliver your item to AML, Samson Barge Lines, or another common carrier. The bidder is responsible for all costs associated with shipping an item and must pay the shipping vendor directly.  Please contact the Wrangell Public Schools District Office at 907-874-2347 to arrange to ship.

Wrangell Public Schools may require a bid deposit.

PayMac handles all payments for Wrangell Public Schools.

Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card.
NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.


Wrangell Public Schools will charge a sales tax of 7%. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding. When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.

A Buyers Premium of 10.5% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium if applicable will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.

The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.

The successful bidder will be responsible for packing, and/or loading any item(s) at pick-up, if necessary.
