Car has frame rust. Vehicle would not pass inspection due to rust. It will start and drive. 
Car will most likely need a jump. 

Downingtown School District Lettering to be removed before vehicle pick up.
We recommend scheduling an appointment to inspect this vehicle before bidding. 


Appointment required to preview or pickup item.

 You must bring to the pick-up location (1) the Paid Receipt and (2) personal picture identification (such as a Driver License)  You must present all two identification items at the scheduled pick-up, or the auction item(s) will not be released to you.  Notary at the district will notarize the title with the buyers signature and the sellers signature.

The winning bidder will be solely responsible for removing the item from the DASD Central Office at 540 Trestle Place, Downingtown, PA  19335

A pick up time must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to arrive at your scheduled time will result in the forfeiture of your item.

Pick Up Only/Sold As Is

Pick up times:
Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 3:30PM

Payment must be made within five (5) business days after closing of auction.

A pickup day and time must be scheduled once payment is made. Pick up must occur within ten (10) business days after closing of auction.  Failure to pick up item within ten business days of the auction closing will result in forfeiture of payment and item. No refund will be given for any items not picked up within ten business days of the auction closing. Buyer is responsible for loading items into their vehicle. We do not ship items.

Terms & Conditions:  All sales are final.  Downingtown Area School District (DASD) makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale.  The Buyer is not entitled to any payment for loss of profit or any other money damages - special, direct, indirect, or consequential.

DASD will only accept bids from buyers who have had an established Public Surplus account for no less than 21 days. 

Description Warranty. Downingtown Area School District warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for mis-description must be made prior to removal of the property. If Downingtown Area School District confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Downingtown Area School District will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of Downingtown Area School District shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.

Payment for an awarded item must be received within 5 business days of close of auction.

Downington Area School District will charge applicable sales tax. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding on an item(s). When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.

Buyers Premium: A Buyers Premium of 10.5% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email. Arrangement of pickup date and time must occur within (10) ten business days after notification of award. Buyer must remove auction item(s) from said agencies premises within 10 business days of notification by Public Surplus of receipt of payment. The payment receipt, notice of award and identification must be presented at the time of pick up or the said agency will not release the item to you.
