Fort Wayne Community Schools (FWCS) is offering for sale one Blue Bird Renovated Bus/Camper. This vehicle will be sold "as is", with no warranties or guarantees, and with no future liability assumed by FWCS, its employees, or agents regarding the vehicle's condition, history, or maintenance.
By participating in this sale and completing the purchase, the winning bidder agrees to accept full financial responsibility for the vehicle and to complete proper registration in their name.
Vehicle Condition (to the best of our knowledge):
The bus starts, but requires a new battery.
It has not been driven in over three years.
The brakes are not reliable and will require repair.
The vehicle has not been tested for full gear shifting functionality.
Post-Sale Terms:
The winning bidder will have thirty (30) calendar days from the date of full payment to remove the bus from FWCS property.
If the vehicle is not removed within that timeframe, FWCS reserves the right to impose a penalty of 5% of the total bid amount per day.
Failure to pay this penalty may result in forfeiture of the vehicle without refund.
FWCS will not assume any liability for the vehicle while it remains on school property.
The bus is stored in a fenced, outdoor area monitored by security.
Viewing of auction items by appointment only.
FWCS may require bid deposits to ensure fairness.
PayMac handles all payments for FWCS.
Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card. NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED! Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award of the winning bid.
Buyers Premium: A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium, if applicable, will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.
All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.
The successful bidder will be responsible for picking up the item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within fifteen (15) business days after payment has been made. You'll need to provide identification at pick-up, or the item will not be released.
Items will become available for pickup 5-7 business days after payment has been made.
Pick-ups are by appointment ONLY. FWCS will NOT release item(s) without prior confirmation of the following:
1)notice of award
2)payment receipt
3)information detailing the party responsible for pick-up
If necessary, the successful bidder will be responsible for the packing, loading and/or transporting of any item(s).
